Welcome! I’m glad you found us...
As a Geographer, Environmentalist and former Headteacher, it felt right to combine interests for a collective learning experience. I am passionate about learning but also about the state of our planet and its preservation for future generations.
Welcome to Elysium Environmental Learning. We are a Social Enterprise that exists for a single purpose... to build purposeful collaborations to enable communities to actively engage with climate change. We believe that our planet is our business. We believe that you shouldn’t have to be a scientist to ‘know’ or ‘act’.
We are built on a foundation of collaboration and big ideas. I welcome you to find a way to join us on that journey. As environmentalists and educators,we like to think big. Immersive and inclusive learning opportunities are our thing.
Giving communities agency and equity in the climate crisis is integral to inspiring change.
Through practical, contextual and ‘real world’ experiences, we aspire to inspire a generation to take positive climate action in four key areas. If not now, then when?
Learning together. For a brighter future. Supporting your green ambitions.
We design and develop both ‘out of the box’ and bespoke climate change content and learning materials for communities to continue to prosper.
We connect with heritage and culture, the arts, wild spaces, schools, educators, communities and sport to inspire climate action, reduce climate anxiety and make scientific learning accessible for all. We’ve yet to find a setting we can’t adapt too.
As a non-political organisation, Elysium is an evolving project for a better future, a shared learning experience where communities prosper, together, to be fully able to make informed decisions and take action against climate change. For a little
over two years, we have carried out extensive research to ensure that our content is both engaging and accessible
but most importantly, impactful.
We endeavour to take our audience on an immersive and inclusive journey, to fully engage with the climate crisis
on a micro and macro scale. We bring the world to them. From classroom learning, climate art to sustainable
and virtual tourism, Elysium Environmental can take care of all of your engagement needs.
Our aim is to help you tell your climate story.

We merge our climate and environmental expertise with our educational background to explore making climate change accessible for everyone without contextual Armageddon.
We like to dive into the science, unpick its broader meaning and adapt this to a positive message of hope, action and ownership.
We specialise in utilising digital content to engage wide and varied audiences, reaching minority groups within society and more importantly, developing a sense of ownership of the current climatic situation. our small team of environmentalists, educators and health professionals results in broad and diverse learning and engagement opportunities.
We focus deeply on soothing anxiety around climate, address climate misconceptions and engage communities with what climate change really means for them, in their own street, before exploring the global issue. We also appreciate that attitudes towards climate are incredibly personal.
We use physical exhibits, immersive experiences, story telling and the arts to transform complex subject matter into every day contexts.
We use this approach to support organisations in developing climate engagement. We are passionate and unwavering in our approach to driving environmental change through learning.
our work
The ‘Hot Topic’ is our flagship learning platform. Available in two editions - ‘Community’ and ‘Education’ editions, these knowledge projects are an immersive, exploratory and community-founded project that enhances the understanding of the effects of climatic change and environmental issues on a human level. Within each project and exhibition we explore the crisis through four key lenses - Air, H20, Earth and the Lab. We want our learners to get to the heart of the problem and more importantly, feel inspired to take practical action.
Available in over 60 languages, the ‘Hot Topic’ is a virtual narrative journey of six practical learning chapters, harnessing project based learning outcomes. From understanding the true meaning of ‘Net Zero’, designing and creating a hydro-electric generator or exploring a forest.

Tourism accounts for 8% of global carbon emissions. This is a significant contribution to the climate crisis.
We collaborate with Tourism Agencies, Holiday Parks, Visitor Attractions and Accommodation to develop climate awareness campaigns to help inform travellers how to best mitigate their own environmental impact and preserve the local environment.
Each one of these bespoke projects is incredibly different and can incorporate a range of climate objectives. Please contact us directly to discuss how we can support you.
We have developed opportunities to harness Virtual Reality, gaming and narrative learning to engage communities with climate change learning. We have set this contemporary way of learning against a backdrop of climate research. All of this is brought together in our ‘Hot Topic’ learning projects and exhibitions.
Climate consultancy support is an integral feature in all our environmental work. It can be challenging to relay, engage and present climate related content in an accessible way.
We provide specialist support in this space in the following guise:
Our consultancy offer is a truly bespoke, we look forward to discussing your needs with you.
We are passionate about reducing ‘Climate Anxiety’. This thread runs through all of our learning projects, exhibitions and content. We address this by exploring a solution based approach, promote well-being strategies and making science accessible. We have developed a therapeutic approach with counselling professionals collaborating on our output.

Professionals, employees and facilitators can find climate change a complex and challenging topic to dissect. Delivering green aims and ambitions needs careful strategic support.
Staff can find climate related policy, commitment and mitigation difficult to relate too in their every day context and setting. We can assist in making sure that a consistent and clear approach is adopted to maximise climate tangible action.
We offer a range of bespoke CPD and Training sessions to address the needs of colleagues and enable them to develop competency, commitment and clarity in delivering your environmental aims.
We have delivered impactful CPD to Teachers, Heritage professionals alongside the private sector.
Our supportive approach can be delivered as part of a structured ‘quick hit’ or a more sustained approach to climate awareness and strategy development, both virtually and in person. Every session is bespoke to your specific needs.

Our Earth Defender Award for Schools and Colleges
Schools and Colleges who choose to deliver the ‘Hot Topic’ can
achieve ‘Earth Defender’ award accreditation annually.
We want to recognise the fantastic work that young people do in
trying to enact climate action in their local area. Host schools will
have the opportunity to submit evidence of a substantial climate
action project that impacted the school community in a positive way.
This evidence will be reviewed by our Education Team and if successful,
an Earth Defender Award will be issued to display with pride in celebration.
Our accreditation process is short and keeps work load to a minimum for educators. It should be applied for on the basis of school leaders supporting young people in a sustained and sustainable way and also make a positive long term commitment to climate action in their setting.
School community projects could range from supporting positive recycling, to a climate action campaign, to making a documentary. However, we want you to be creative! School leaders can also nominate exceptional young climate action learners who have gone above and beyond as part of our #earthhero24 campaign.

New for 2024...
For schools and educators who are looking to start their climate action learning with a ‘bitesize’ approach, our new monthly ‘climate hit’ is available via subscription.
‘Dispatches’ (Secondary) and ‘Superheroz Bulletin’ (Primary) will provide short, sharp learning tasks that will inspire climate action around key contemporary issues, every month.
Tasks are linked to key National Curriculum outcomes, just like our ‘Hot Topic Education’ programme, however, learning undertaken in our monthly ‘hit’ are completely different to the projects featured in ‘Hot Topic’.

climate action global
Areas of the developing world are at most risk from the effects brought about by climate change. We will endeavour to develop and lead projects internationally that:
Our International Project Team will initially focus their support on communities in the South Pacific (Phase 1) who are currently experiencing exponential risk to homes, livelihoods and communities as a consequence of climate change.
We will champion the cause of conservation programmes and provide learning support to organisations who need our assistance across the globe.
Our learning resources and materials have been crafted into over sixty languages to collaborate with international communities both within the United Kingdom and globally.
We will work collaboratively with global partners to support engagement and harness the collective understanding of climate change in schools and communities all over the world.
Our ambition for both home and abroad, will only come to fruition with effective partnerships. We want to work with you to maximise our impact. Our ‘Global Ambassador’ programme will engage and inspire positive action for generations to come.
We will need your help!
