As a Geographer, Environmentalist and former Headteacher, it felt right to combine interests for a collective learning experience. I am passionate about learning but also about the state of our planet and its preservation for future generations.

Welcome to Elysium Environmental Learning. We are a Social Enterprise that exists for a single purpose... to build purposeful collaborations to enable communities to actively engage with climate change. We believe that our planet is our business. We believe that you shouldn’t have to be a scientist to ‘know’ or ‘act’.

We are built on a foundation of collaboration and big ideas. I welcome you to find a way to join us on that journey.As environmentalists and educators,we like to think big. Immersive and inclusive learning opportunities are our thing.

Giving communities agency and equity in the climate crisis is integral to inspiring change.

Through practical, contextual and ‘real world’ experiences, we aspire to inspire a generation to take positive climate action in four key areas. If not now, then when?

We design and develop both ‘out of the box’ and bespoke climate change content and learning materials for communities to continue to prosper.

We connect with heritage and culture, the arts, wild spaces, schools, educators, communities and sport to inspire climate action, reduce climate anxiety and make scientific learning accessible for all. We’ve yet to find a setting we can’t adapt too.

As a non-political organisation, Elysium is an evolving project for a better future, a shared learning experience where communities prosper, together, to be fully able to make informed decisions and take action against climate change. For a little

over two years, we have carried out extensive research to ensure that our content is both engaging and accessible

but most importantly, impactful.

We endeavour to take our audience on an immersive and inclusive journey, to fully engage with the climate crisis

on a micro and macro scale. We bring the world to them. From classroom learning, climate art to sustainable

and virtual tourism, Elysium Environmental can take care of all of your engagement needs.

We merge our climate and environmental expertise with our educational background to explore making climate change accessible for everyone without contextual Armageddon.

We like to dive into the science, unpick its broader meaning and adapt this to a positive message of hope, action and ownership.

We specialise in utilising digital content to engage wide and varied audiences, reaching minority groups within society and more importantly, developing a sense of ownership of the current climatic situation. our small team of environmentalists, educators and health professionals results in broad and diverse learning and engagement opportunities.

We focus deeply on soothing anxiety around climate, address climate misconceptions and engage communities with what climate change really means for them, in their own street, before exploring the global issue. We also appreciate that attitudes towards climate are incredibly personal.

We use physical exhibits, immersive experiences, story telling and the arts to transform complex subject matter into every day contexts.

We use this approach to support organisations in developing climate engagement. We are passionate and unwavering in our approach to driving environmental change through learning.

What’s new in the world of ‘Climate Action’ from the team at Elysium...

• Our ‘HEAT’ Project is now life. Our vision for a National Centre for Climate learning is alive and kicking. We are so excited about this project. It’s huge. You can find out all the information you need about this landmark project right here -
  

• New developments within our Hot Topic project to include essential learning content linked to climate and societal change, climate migration and tolerance and a focus on regenerative agriculture.
  

• ‘Hot Topic’ LIVE is our latest climate learning offer available to heritage sites, galleries and wild spaces. An audience participation event to encourage community climate learning, discussion and action. Each session, for either children or adult learning is led by Founder, Andy Higgs. Dates available now for the forthcoming Autumn & WInter.
